Delete your account and data

PodPlayer TV™ by Sean M McClain, on Roku, Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV, Samsung and LG · Last updated October 19, 2026

PodPlayer TV doesn't ask for your name, email or any other personal details. Your account is just an encrypted podcast list tied to a five-word passphrase. You can delete it at any time, from the app or from this page.

Delete it from the app

  1. Open PodPlayer TV on any TV that's signed in to your account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

This works the same on every TV brand. It deletes your account at once and signs out every TV that was using it.

Delete it on this page

No TV handy, or uninstalled the app? Type your five-word passphrase below. Your browser turns it into the same lookup value your TV uses, and only that value is sent to our server. The passphrase itself never leaves this page.

The first three letters of each word are enough. Repeated wrong guesses are blocked for a minute.

What gets deleted

All of these are removed from our server immediately; nothing is kept. Playback positions, the queue and preferences were only ever stored on each TV. They're removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

If you lost the passphrase

Because your list is encrypted and has no name or email attached, we can't find, read or delete a particular list without the passphrase, so we can't act on a deletion request by email. Never send us the passphrase itself. A list nobody signs in to can't be read by anyone, including us, and accounts that aren't used for about 12 months are deleted automatically.

Import files

Lists sent from the import page are deleted as soon as your TV picks them up. If they're never picked up, the import expires after 15 minutes and is deleted within a few minutes after that.

Support messages

Messages sent through the support form aren't linked to your account. To have one deleted, email mcclain.sean.appdev@gmail.com from the address you gave, or tell us roughly when you sent it and what it said.
